Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 28 May 1987. Mallory talks about growing up in Brewton, Alabama and his educational and religious experiences. He discusses his conversion to the Mormon Church and its impact on his courtship, marriage, and relationships with his children. He comments on his family's experiences as Mormons.
